I had the wonderful opportunity to interview Author Sherrie Hurd.
Me: What inspired you to start writing?
Sherrie: My writing started long ago. The first inspirations seemed to be my emotions and different events in my life. I needed an outlet to help relieve an overflow of thoughts from my head.
Me: When did you start writing?
Sherrie: I would say around middle school – that would be during the mid-eighties.
Me: What advice would you give a new writer, someone just starting?

“I can hear you.”
It passed through my head like a shrieking pain. It was his voice. It was as real as any of his whispers or proclamations of spiritual enlightenment. His voice was soft, smooth and deep, just like when he leaned in to kiss my cheek on that fateful day before he fell to depths too deep. He was here and he was real.
“I heard you. I am here and I won’t leave.” I whispered.
It came again. A slow rhythmic tone, followed by a lisp. I could almost make out the words that drifted up...
